1. Booking Just Add Music Band (JAM Band)
The following terms and conditions are subject to change.
By booking a JAM Band incursion you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1.1. The following fees are incurred by the school/OSHC:
1.1.1. A non-refundable deposit per show booked. This is payable within 21 days of receiving an invoice.
1.1.2. A per-student fee for attending the incursion, payable after the incursion, within 21 days of receiving an invoice. You agree to provide an accurate attendance number on the day of the incursion.
1.2. The school/OSHC undertakes to prepare the students and the venue for the visit by the JAM Band. The show requires little to no preparation, however students will gain more value out of the show if they become familiar with the songs beforehand.
1.3. All JAM Band musicians have relevant and current Working With Children checks and are bound by contract to adhere to South Australia's Child Safe policy. Nevertheless, in booking a JAM Band show, a school/OSHC warrants that at all times during a JAM Band show, a teacher or guardian will be present, and that JAM Band musicians will not be left unattended with young people under the age of 18.
1.4. As of 1st April 2023 the JAM Band is registered for GST. Schools/OSHCs registered for GST are able to claim this back on their BAS.
1.5 The school/OSHC must have an appropriate indoor or outdoor undercover space large enough to accomodate the band performance area and adequate to the size of the audience. The band will not perform outdoors unless under cover. If an appropriate venue is not provided by the school, the cancellation will be at the expense of the school, under the conditions of Clause 3 below.
2. Resources
On booking the JAM Band, teachers/educators receive access to a Google Drive folder for resources to use when preparing their students for the show. A school is entitled to share resources with all relevant staff members. It is a breach of contract if these resources are shared with individuals outside the school or with other schools. Staff will not be given 'editor' access to any of the Google documents, but may copy/paste as required to make their own editable documents.
3. Cancellations or requests
3.1. Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule an incursion are to be made via our contact form. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate a school’s/OSHC's request to reschedule, it may not be possible due to contractual obligations. If a school/OSHC is unable to hold the existing schedule and the JAM Band is unable to reschedule the incursion, the cancellation fees policy will apply.
3.2. Cancellations: Contact is to be made in the event of a cancellation by our contact form.
3.3. Cancellation fees apply as follows:
3.3.1. If a booking for an incursion is cancelled prior to thirty days of the scheduled incursion, the non-refundable booking deposit applies.
3.3.2. If a booking is cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled incursion then the minimum rate as quoted applies.
3.4. Should JAM Band be required to cancel an incursion, the deposit already paid by the school/OSHC may be refunded in full or put towards a new booking date.
3.5. We understand that life in schools is busy and complicated. Please contact us to discuss any issues with bookings that you may have. JAM Band will make every effort to accomodate the needs of the individual schools/OSHCs as long as effort is made to effectively communicate with the band. JAM Band is not obligated to honour a deposit towards a new date if the school/OSHC needs to change from the original booked date.
4. Country schools and out of normal school day shows
4.1. Evening shows are available subject to availability of musicians. Adults may not be charged for attendance at the performance.
4.2. Out of School Hours Care performances may be available subject to negotiation with the bookings manager. The minimum cost of performance still stands for these shows.
4.3. Country School/OSHC shows will have a travel levy attached to regular show fees to cover petrol and other expenses. This will be quoted at the time of enquiry/booking.
