JAM Band is an established interactive music show that performs at primary schools and OSHC facilities across Australia.
Following strong growth in South Australia (~100 shows per year in a small market), we are now expanding and building a new JAM Band team in Melbourne, Victoria.
We are seeking energetic performers and musicians who enjoy engaging with young audiences.
Performer Roles
We are currently looking for performers who can:
• Sing and perform confidently on stage
• Play an instrument to a high level of proficiency (preferred but not essential)
• Engage and interact with children
• Bring energy, humour and personality to live shows
Musical theatre performers, entertainers, musicians, and multi-instrumentalists are strongly encouraged to apply.

A group of six friends and experienced performers based in Adelaide decided to put together a fun and engaging primary school incursion. With a small starting budget they rehearsed and purchased props, costumes and equipment and created an amazing show.
The first school incursion was a massive success. A few more bookings came through word-of-mouth. By the end of 2019 we had performed 3 shows and booked in some shows for 2020.
We performed about a dozen shows to very appreciative audiences and word continued to spread.
We rehearsed and delivered a brand new show to 22 schools.
We rehearsed and delivered a brand new show to 30 schools. A number of shows were cancelled due to COVID but we used the time to spruce up our website and make deliberate contact with schools to market our product for the following year.
We developed another brand new show and performed it 74 times. Huge growth from the previous year! We were now in high demand.
Another new show and another year of growth. 107 shows including a number of rural tours.
Another new show and another busy year. After a very hectic 2024 we decided to focus on Adelaide Metro and do less rural touring. We performed 96 school/OSHC shows and developed a 30-minute Christmas Special for the Civic Park Carols, which we performed to a crowd of over 20,000.
With a new website and branding we were now getting interest and enquiries from locations outside of Adelaide, and many from Victoria.
As of March 2026 we already have over 100 shows booked in Adelaide and we are looking to expand into Victoria. That's where you come in! If you want to be a part of this growing brand and perform amazing shows to appreciative audiences in daylight hours, apply to join the JAM Band team!
