Show terms and conditions

1. Booking Just Add Music Band (JAM Band)

By booking a JAM Band show you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1.1. The following fees are incurred by the school:  

1.1.1. A non-refundable deposit of $200 per school booked. This is payable within 21 days of receiving an invoice.

1.1.2. A per-student fee for attending the performance, payable after the performance, within 21 days of receiving an invoice.

1.2. The school undertakes to prepare the students and the venue for the visit by the JAM Band. The show requires little to no preparation, however students will gain more value out of the show if they become familiar with the songs beforehand.

1.3. All JAM Band musicians have relevant and current Working With Children checks and are bound by contract to adhere to South Australia's Child Safe policy.  Nevertheless, in booking a JAM Band show, a school warrants that at all times during a JAM Band show, a teacher or guardian will be present, and that JAM Band musicians will not be left unattended with young people under the age of 18.

1.4. All JAM Band fees are free of GST.

2. Resources

On booking the JAM Band, teachers receive access to the password protected section for resources to use when preparing their students for the show. A school is entitled to share log-in details with all relevant staff members. It is a breach of contract if these resources are shared with individuals outside the school or with other schools.

3. Cancellations or requests

3.1. Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule a performance are to be made via our contact form. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate a school’s request to reschedule, it may not be possible due to contractual obligations. If a school is unable to hold the existing schedule and the JAM Band is unable to reschedule the show, the cancellation fees policy will apply.

3.2. Cancellations: Contact is to be made in the event of a cancellation by our contact form.

3.3. Cancellation fees apply as follows:

3.3.1. If a booking for a show is cancelled prior to thirty days of the scheduled performance, the $200 non-refundable booking deposit applies.      

3.3.2. If a booking is cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled show then a fee of 50% of the total cost of the performance applies.

3.4. Should JAM Band be required to cancel a show, or cannot accommodate a school’s reasonable request for a performance date, any fees already paid by the school will be refunded in full.

3.5. We understand that life in schools is complicated. Please contact us to discuss any issues with bookings that you may have. The JAM Band will make every effort to accomodate the needs of the individual schools as long as effort is made to effectively communicate with the band.

4. Country schools and out of normal school day shows

4.1. Evening shows are available subject to availability of musicians. Adults may not be charged for attendance at the performance.

4.2. Out of School Hours Care performances are available subject to negotiation with the bookings manager. The minimum cost of performance still stands for these shows.

4.3. Country Schools shows will have a travel levy attached to their regular show fees to cover petrol and other expenses.
